MyVetLink User Forum
To Use MyVetLink:
- Make sure that your computer meets requirements listed below.
- Open your internet browser (such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer) and go to MyVetLink.com.
- Create your MyVetLink account by clicking on the Create an Account button in the upper right hand corner.
- If you already have an account, click on the Login button in the upper right hand corner then enter your User Name and Password.
- Begin retrieving your Veterinary Health Certificates.
Getting Started -
Minimum System Requirements
To get started, there are a few things that you must do to ensure your computer is ready to use MyVetLink:
- Make sure you have one of the following internet browsers installed on your machine: Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher on your machine (if it isn’t already).
- Make sure Java Scripting is enabled on your machine. To enable Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/enable_browser.xml
- Check to ensure that you have Adobe Reader 7.0 or newer installed on your machine.
Note: If Adobe Reader is not installed on the same machine that GlobalVetLink is being used, go to the following website to install Adobe Reader: www.adobe.com Click on Get Adobe Reader, which is located in an icon on the left side of the page and go through the installation process. You must have Adobe reader to view or print your completed, GlobalVetLink generated official certificate.
To Create an Owner Account
- Go to www.MyVetLink.com
- Click on the Create an Account button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Choose Owner from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your email address. After the system checks that you have entered a valid email address (as entered into the system by your veterinarian) you will receive a temporary password. Leave this window open or record the password for later use.
- An email will be generated and sent to you. Click on the link within the email and enter the temporary password to access your account. The link will be valid for 30 minutes. If you are unable to click on it and complete the steps within 30 minutes, simply repeat Steps 1-4.
- At the prompts, setup a new user name and password. Use this new username and password to login to your MyVetLink account in the future.
Retrieving Your Coggins Certificate
- After logging in to your MyVetLink account, you will need to click on the Certificates menu on the left hand side of the screen.
- Click on View Certificates.
3.If you would like to view or print your certificate, click on the Print button or on the link with the EIA- number associated with it, as seen in the main screen. Your certificate will open into the Adobe Reader and you may print from this program.

Logging Itineraries
GlobalVetLink offers GoPasses, which are extended health certificates that are good for up to 6 months in a particular region of the country. Check with your veterinarian to see if GoPass certificates are available in your area. You will only use the Itineraries section of the website if you have a GoPass Certificate.
If your veterinarian has issued a GoPass for your horse, you will find it in the Certificates Menu on the left side of the screen. As you travel from location to location with your GoPass, you will need to log an itinerary. To log an itinerary:
- Click on the Certificates menu and select Itineraries.
- Click on the certificate number that you would like to log an itinerary.
- Click on the state that you will be visiting or have visited.
- Select the Dates and City (required). If you choose to, log Event and Address.
- Click the Add button to the right of Trip Information.
- When you have logged all Itinerary information, click the Itinerary Complete button to officially submit your completed trip information.
Changing your Personal Information
If you would like to update any personal information, such as your address, or phone, you will need to click on Profile.
To change your password, click on Update Password, then enter both your old password and your new password in the boxes provided. Please note that both Passwords and Usernames are case sensitive. If you are having trouble logging in, check to ensure that your caps lock is not on.
Passwords must be at least 7 characters long and include the following:
- at least one number.
- at least one letter.
- at least one special character. The # sign cannot be used in a password. (example: !,@,,*,%,$)
